Welcome

I am an economist at the University of Hamburg working at the intersection of environmental and development economics. My research asks how climate and energy policies such as carbon pricing, energy subsidy reform, and energy infrastructure affect poverty, inequality, and firm performance in low- and middle-income countries. I am also engaged in replication research in economics.

Beyond academic research, I have worked with policy institutions such as KfW and the World Bank.

I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Göttingen and previously held positions at the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change (MCC) and the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA).
